Join Troop 38!
Tomorrow's leaders start here.
We're glad you're here. Whether you're a Scout, a parent, or just curious about what we do, this is the place to learn more about Scouting and discover what makes Troop 38 such a fun, active, and rewarding experience. Adventure, leadership, and lifelong skills start here—come see what we're all about!
What is Scouting?
Scouting is a worldwide movement that helps young people grow into responsible, engaged citizens through outdoor adventure, leadership opportunities, skill-building, and service to others. Founded in 1907 by Lord Baden-Powell, Scouting encourages youth to “Be Prepared” for life by challenging them to learn by doing, work together as a team, and live by the Scout Oath and Law.
Scouting is more than just camping and tying knots—though we do plenty of that too! It’s about building character, developing leadership skills, and making friendships that last a lifetime. Whether it’s learning how to navigate with a map and compass, serving the community, or simply sharing stories around a campfire, Scouting shapes young people in powerful and positive ways.
About Troop 38
Troop 38 is a vibrant and active Scout troop committed to helping youth grow in confidence, skills, and leadership. We are proud to be part of the Three Fires Council and have a long-standing tradition of excellence in Scouting.
Our troop is open to youth aged 11–17, and we meet regularly to plan exciting adventures, earn merit badges, and work toward the rank of Eagle Scout. From weekend campouts and summer camp at Canyon Camp to community service projects and skill competitions, Troop 38 offers a wide variety of opportunities for Scouts to challenge themselves and have fun along the way.
We believe in giving every Scout the chance to lead, grow, and succeed—both in Scouting and in life. Our adult leaders are here to support and guide, but it's the Scouts who make the decisions, plan the activities, and shape the direction of the troop.
Come join the adventure—Troop 38 is ready for you!

🏕️ Summer Camp – A week packed with swimming, climbing, boating, campfire programs, and bonding with fellow Scouts—definitely a highlight of the year!
🎢 Special Events – Indoor skydiving, kart racing, escape rooms, lock-ins, and Scout nights at sports games—we’re always finding fun ways to mix things up.
🤝 Community Service – Giving back is fun too! From helping at local events to organizing food drives and Eagle projects, we enjoy making a difference together.
